VARINDER SINGH GHUMAN

Varinder Singh Ghuman was born in the village of Talwandi near Gurdaspur, Punjab. 
He  is a professional bodybuilder and a Punjabi wrestler as well.

Ghuman  won Mr. IndiaTitle  in 2009 and was also awarded the 2nd place in Mr. Asia. He appeared in a  Punjabi movie Kabaddi Once Again as  a lead actor in 2012. He takes a Vegetarian diet and is world's first professional bodybuilder to do so.He has been roped in by Arnold Schwarzenegger for promoting his health products in Asia.

Early life & Childhood
He was born in a conservative family of Punjab Police personal in village Talwandi in the border district of Gurdaspur, this son of Asstt. Sub Inspector Bhupinder Singh (Retd.) and Late Smt. Harbhajan Kaur  in his college days was a pace bowler in the college team. But instead of a pace bowler to represent the Indian national team he turned out  be a professional bodybuilder from India. 
He claims that he takes only vegetarian diet and fulfill his quota of proteins and calcium from milk and milk products.

Now if you are interested to know his vital stats, this 6 feet 3 inches tall Varinder Ghuman can put any average body builder to shame by flexing his 23 inches Biceps. His chest measures 53 inches. With 35 inches Thighs and 35-36 inches Waist size, this 130 Kgs Log-of-wood has earned a name not only for himself but for his state Punjab and for the Country as well.

The first Indian Body Builder to get a Pro Card by International Federation of Body Building (IFBB), this 'Pahlwan from Punjab' also carries an MA (English) degree under his belt.

Varinder also happens to be the first Indian and also the first Asian to get to the top line of Arnold Classic Europe - an international championship of bodybuilding, the ranks of leading Mr. Contest universe and also the first Indian to win the 2011 Australian Grand Prix. Keeping in view of his perfect body, it was chosen by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger to be brand ambassador for its signature gyms and food supplements in India.

Besides body building, another interest which Varinder is nurturing is of acting. After completing a course in dance and action in Mumbai to learn the basics, he has appeared in some music videos and now has also starred as  a hero in two Punjabi movies-Kabaddi once Again and Fateh.

However, when asked if he is setting his eyes on movies now, this long haired bulky man said "not at all, t I am doing this  on the sidelines but my passion is of bodybuilding only"..

The ultimate goal of this man who claimed to have amazed none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger with his tree-like solid physique has set his eyes on Mr. Olympia contest, a title which Arnold had won for seven times.

This 30-yrs-young body builder believes that it is only the genetics and hard trainings which keeps you ahead of others, muscle-by-muscle. His message to all the budding body builders is simple but loud.

"DO NOT USE DRUGS OR PERFORMANCE ENHANCING ANABOLIC STEROIDS. WORKOUT HARD AND HAVE GOOD NUTRITIOUS DIET".
